Getting your products in the hands of European consumers

If you are a manufacturer of American whiskey products – and you would like to export your products to The European Union – working with the Nordic Bourbon Company may be a way forward for you. At a very high level, this is the typical process:

  1. You send us an email to crew@nordicbourboncompany.com and we schedule a quick 30-minutes online meeting. During this meeting we will discuss ideas, plans and expectations.
  2. If it makes sense after the initial meeting, you send us a bottle of each product you would like us to consider (shipping details will be provided during the first meeting).
  3. After we have had a chance to evaluate the products, we schedule a second meeting where we talk about your portfolio of products, your back story, the price-points you want to operate within – and a general discussion about the go-to-market strategy for Europe. This meeting will be a full hour.
  4. If it also makes sense to proceed after the second meeting, you will send us FOB pricing, a general overview of product volume availability – and any thoughts on a timeline.  
  5. Once received, we will send you a proposal for how we see your products being introduced into Europe. We will also provide you with suggestions for how to handle the stock, the payment and the marketing; Payment terms is obviously for you to decide, but the more attractive FOB pricing, the more we would be considering pre-payment for the first orders. The alternative is consignment stock, guaranteed by a third party.
  6. If we agree, we will sign the required papers between us – and we will issue the initial Purchase Order. To minimize shipping costs, we only order full pallets.
  7. If pre-payment, we transfer the funds, and you prepare the pallet(s) for pickup at your premises.

In other words, a very easy-to-understand process, where you do not need to worry about freight, export rights, etc. You will, however, need to commit to providing us with access to your digital assets, such as product images, sales sheets, etc. We may also ask you to be available for recordings of video snippets for our web shop, SoMe, etc.
